KPMG IT Service OOD is a joint venture of KPMG IT Service GmbH and KPMG Bulgaria OOD. The company is an internal IT service provider for member firms in the KPMG group. We employ more than 600 people in Sofia and Germany and deliver the full spectrum of IT services to our clients, including: Software Engineering, Application & Platform Operations, Cloud and Infrastructure. ServiceNow, Digital Compliance and Service Delivery Management Department is focused on designing, engineering, and managing processes using ServiceNow as a platform, as well as for cloud native & hybrid platforms for the KPMG group of member firms and providing compliance and cloud process advisory and delivery services to internal and external clients.
The role:
We are looking for an IT Software Asset Management Expert to join KPMG IT Service OOD Digital Compliance team. In this role, you will be in charge for the implementation of an effective framework for management, control, and protection of software assets within client ‘s organizations throughout all stages of their lifecycle. From the analysis of purchased licenses, review of discovery data, processing and maintaining software to conducting research to assist with purchases and contract requirements. Software assets scope includes all software asset types: SAAS, desktop solutions, on premise and cloud hosted solutions, and Infrastructure related software assets.
As a Software Asset Management Expert, you will focus on:
- Create reports, KPI´s and license balances for On-Prem and SaaS-Software to ensure compliance and optimize license costs
- Evaluate license contracts and conditions (including license metrics and OSS-license conditions) and monitoring if implementation is in accordance with the contract
- Design and create software license inventory
- Organize technical data collection and document usage data
- Assure quality of inventory data
- Support rectification of licensing deviations
- Check pool for unused licenses
- Develop measures to monitor the license compliance continuously and initiating measures to recover if client is over- or under licensed
- Support SAM control and governance evolvement
- Support risk or compliance assessments
What you bring in:
- Successfully completed degree in business informatics, economics, industrial engineering or similar (ideally with focus on IT) or professional qualifications through at least two years of work experience in license management (ideally certified Software Asset and license manager)
- Affinity for technological and compliance matters
- Knowledge about licensing terms of various software vendors
- Ideally with focus on Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMware, SAP or Open Source
- Ideally working experience in IT consulting
- Business fluent in English
- Knowledge of German is beneficial
