Designing big data analytics solutions
2019-02-21 19:00
About the event
Playing with visuals in Power BI might be a pleasant job, but someone has to do the heavy lifting before that.
Join this session to learn more about the problems with big data and how to perform analytics on it.
We will go through the different parts of a solution: ingestion, preparation, analytics and AI, and BI/visualization. ETL/ELT is also still relevant in this area. We will also be considering the following questions:
- What storage should we choose? How should we model the data? How should we organize it?
- What are the options we can use to prepare and analyze that data? Where and how should we index it?
- How can we manage the overall performance, security and governance?
- How do we consume all this using Power BI?
This session will cover a variety of technologies in Microsoft Azure such as Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Data Warehouse and Azure Analysis Services, to name just a few.
The speaker will be Radoslav Gatev, a renowned Microsoft Azure guru in Bulgaria
Read more about the speaker: Radoslav Gatev is a software architect, consultant and Microsoft Azure MVP, who spends most of his time in the cloud – Microsoft Azure, to be precise. He is a conference speaker, blogger, open source contributor and advisor at Azure Research Panel.
How we contribute
KPMG ITS Sofia is a proud partner of the Microsoft community in Bulgaria, an Azure Bootcamp devotee and a SQL Saturday community friend, where the company is represented by its top talent in the field. At this event, KPMG ITS Sofia will present these three communities with the opportunity to have their regular meetup, discuss big data with the KPMG ITS Sofia experts and also visit our new campus, which opened in early 2019.
