Tell me about your profession

The Cause

In collaboration with the Step for Bulgaria and TimeHeroes foundations, three of our colleagues left a deep impression when they joined students in their classroom for an open and inspirational conversation.

The mission – “Tell me about your profession” – centered around talented professionals giving pupils guidance and food for thought with regards to their future career prospects.

The Impact

The stories below give a good indication of what being a proud corporate citizen feels like:

“The teenagers had the chance to meet all kinds of professionals, which gave them the freedom to moderate the discussion, asking what was truly interesting to them. Work was not the only topic. We spoke about life in general – our hopes, our fears. Those meetings were very emotional to me and hugely rewarding at the same time.” – Zornitsa Nikolova, Senior ITSM Consultant.

“I had a great time with the youngsters and they seemed to be quite happy with what was going on. You could see the motivation sparkle in their eyes. I tried to put emphasis on the importance of learning, doing what you like, and respecting yourself and others.” – Dimitar Tzvetkov, Senior SharePoint DevOps Engineer.

“The kids were thrilled to hear our stories and curious to know how they can get a good job, a solid paycheck and to what extent all that is related to university studies. Because the discussion was so open, at one point I had to seek the right answer to the question: “Why is life so unfair?” I can’t wait to take part in such an initiative once again and I am thankful for the opportunity” – Ivan Vlaevski, Architecture Team Manager.
