Little Heroes, Big Hearts: KPMG IT Service’s Support to Pediatric Cardiology in Bulgaria

In February 2024, KPMG IT Service OOD proudly completed another milestone in our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, focusing our efforts on supporting the health and wellbeing of children in Bulgaria. Our latest initiative brought us to the forefront of pediatric healthcare by supporting the Clinic of Pediatric Cardiology as part of the National Heart Hospital – a beacon of hope for families and their little warriors battling congenital heart defects (CHD).

The Lifesaving Mission of Pediatric Cardiology

The Clinic of Pediatric Cardiology, alongside the Clinic of Pediatric Heart Surgery, stands as a critical institution in Bulgaria, dedicated to saving and improving the lives of approximately 500 newborns and children each year. However, the clinic’s mission is perpetually challenged by the need for advanced pediatric technical equipment which exceeds the support capabilities of the Bulgarian state.

A Tangible Difference: Donations that Save Lives

Understanding the critical nature of this need, we at KPMG IT Service, stepped in to make a tangible difference. We are happy to announce our donation to the clinic of a new generation infusion pump, offering a large color display, guided loading, intuitive user interface and an integrated drug library. Additionally, we provided a modular patient monitor, designed specifically for the demanding environments of operating theaters and intensive care units, where precision and accuracy are not just expected but are critical for patient care.

Our involvement with the Clinic of Pediatric Cardiology underscores KPMG IT Service’s deep-seated belief in giving back to the community and supporting initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives.
