Humanitarian Help for Ukraine
2022-03-11
The Cause & Our Impact
In this grim times I call you as people to consider those in urgent need of support and relief. This is a purely humanitarian effort behind which we stand as a company and individuals. In the past couple of days we have joined the KPMG EMA Crisis Center in order to scale up and provide coordinated help to all those on need. It is a battle against time thus we call for volunteers among our colleagues who already stepped-in. The areas and organizations with which we are collaborating in the relief effort are growing, some initiatives are:
- Accommodation & Housing: listing properties that we as individuals can provide as housing for refugees
- Supplies, first-aid and sanitary products: purchasing items in the categories requested by the Bulgarian Red Cross and other NGOs for people in Ukraine, our main stream for the time-being based on the importance and urgency of those awaiting the supplies such as male clothing, clothing for women and children and other supplies intended for the refugee camps around Ukraine’s borders. The company commits at matching 1:1 the amount donated by our people.
- Psychological, social support to families and children who have already arrived in Bulgaria to whom we want to extend a hand in finding their place in our society’s cultural life and traditions, educational system and just make feel welcomed and accepted.
We have already established contact with the Berlin-based company nilo.health that provides free of charge sessions with certified psychologists in Ukrainian, Russian, Polish and English languages with sessions available forsubscription from anywhere War in Ukraine – Mental Health Support (nilohealth.com). We are currently looking for potential help in Bulgaria. We are working on some mentoring programs to be made available to Ukranian refugees in Bulgaria. - Employment opportunities and career fast-track to professionals within the IT ecosystem with us and our partner companies.
Please feel free to contact us with any suggestions and recommendations, participation and contribution, it’s an ongoing initiative.
We do believe the amazing spirit we have as a network of companies can make a difference in other people’s lives when needed.
