A Day of Giving: Homemade Meals and Heartfelt Support Raise 5,460 BGN for Sofia’s Largest Community Kitchen
2025-06-30
On April 10th, our office was filled with the aroma of freshly cooked meals, the warmth of shared laughter, and the spirit of generosity. More than 30 colleagues came together to cook and bring homemade breakfast and lunch, transforming an ordinary workday into a powerful act of community support.
We are thrilled to announce that our Breakfast & Lunch Fundraising Event raised an incredible 5,460 BGN (approximately 2,785 euros) in support of the ‘Saint Prophet Elijah – Volunteer Kitchen’ Foundation, Sofia’s largest community kitchen.
Thanks to our team members’ kindness and participation, we’ve already put the funds to good use. As of this month, the kitchen has secured:
- Over 3,500 yogurts, enough for seven Saturdays of nutritious additions to their meals.
- A large stock of canned meals to complement the warm dishes served weekly.
These contributions will provide not only sustenance but also comfort and dignity to hundreds of people in need – many of whom are elderly citizens who rely on the kitchen’s services every Saturday.
The event itself was a celebration of community spirit. From the lovingly prepared dishes to the vibrant conversations shared over lunch, every moment reflected our collective commitment to making a difference. Whether someone cooked, donated, or simply joined us for a meal, the KPMG IT Service Team involvement helped turn compassion into action.
This initiative is a shining example of what we can achieve when we come together with purpose. We are thankful our team members take part of something so truly meaningful, time and time again. This initiative is only one, out of many others that our CSR Team works on and we’re proud of this amazing result.
